Row of 13 mid-Victorian style attached terraces, dated c 1885, including one shop on the corner, and a common area at the rear of the building. Not as decorated as most terraces from this period, as such they are believed to have been built as accommodation for those working as horse trainers nearby, and were part of the late 19th century terrace house development scattered around Randwick to house workers. The dwellings each had two bedrooms with an outhouse to the rear. Until the 1960s, the houses within Gordon Terrace were owned by a succession of single owners who rented the dwellings to tradesman generally in the building industry.
