Memorial originally erected by returned servicemen in memory of those who died on the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea during World War II who were from the Kensington district. The memorial currently standing was installed in 2002, built from concrete, and containing three Bronze plaques. Multiple pathways lead towards the track, representing the Kokoda track. The original monument was installed in 1960. It was a sandstone block obelisk also containing three bronze plaques.
