Roughly hewn sandstone set within the ground of Tay Reserve, marking the site of the Toll Bar Cottage. Tolls were levied there till 1894 from people travelling from the city to Randwick and Coogee or vice versa. The monument is most visible in the south-eastern corner of the reserve, at the corner with Alison Road and Tay Street, but the grass has mostly grown over it. A plaque commemorating the site and unveiling has since been removed.
