The monument was dedicated on the 6th of May, 1960. The 'At Ease' sculpture, situated at the north-eastern corner of the site, is a Bronze cast statue of a soldier standing "At Ease" atop a plinth of charcoal coloured polish granite slabs. The monument was erected in 2018 to commemorate the centenary of the armistice of WW1, and for those who lost their lives in the war.
